Escrybe service

Virtual Box.

Complete management of the physical mail that returns from your shipments. Signed return receipts and undelivered letters land at Escrybe, get digitized, and show up on your dashboard — no paper on your desk.

The shipping flow, with and without Virtual Box

Compare the path a return receipt takes back to you. With Virtual Box, the return becomes digital and centralized.

Without Virtual Box

Paper on your desk
  1. 01

    Shipped via postal service

You post the registered letter with return receipt.

  2. 02

    Delivered to recipient

The carrier delivers and collects the signature on paper.

  3. 03

Return receipt comes back to you

The signed form reaches your office days later.

  4. 04

    Manual handling

Someone receives, sorts, files, and digitizes the paper.

Outcome: stacked paper, physical archive, wasted time.

How it works

When you sign up for Virtual Box, all return mail is routed to Escrybe's own address. Whatever comes back — a signed return receipt or a letter that bounced due to a wrong address, address change, or absent recipient — is received, stored, and digitized by our operations team.

The digitized document shows up directly on the platform dashboard, linked to the original shipment. You no longer have to receive, sort, file, or digitize physical paper.

Average digitization time is 15 days after delivery or after a refusal. Digitized files are available on the dashboard as image or PDF.

What Virtual Box receives and digitizes

Return receipts (ARs): the physical form that comes back signed by the recipient — or by someone who received it on their behalf — confirming delivery. Once digitized, the image is attached to its shipment on the dashboard.

Undelivered letters: letters the postal service could not deliver for any reason — wrong address, recipient not found, refusal, address change. The return is logged and the shipment status updates on the platform.

Storage and return of originals

Escrybe stores the original physical documents (return receipts and undelivered letters) for a period defined in your contract. If you need the originals in hand, just request them: Escrybe will ship a package with the physical documents.

When Virtual Box is mandatory

Virtual Box is required for Sedex and Sedex + AR shipments. Correios (the Brazilian postal service) requires the sender of Sedex shipments to be in the same city as the posting site. Since Escrybe handles posting from its own operation, the return address must be Escrybe's — and Virtual Box is the service that guarantees receipt, digitization, and delivery of those documents to you.

For other physical modalities — Registered Letter + AR, for example — Virtual Box is optional but recommended for anyone sending at scale who needs to centralize proof of delivery.

Sending Sedex or Sedex + AR? Virtual Box is already part of your operational flow.
