What is Registered Mail
Registered mail is postal delivery through Correios with a tracking code that allows you to follow the correspondence until it reaches the destination address. With Escrybe, you place the order through the platform (or API), and we handle everything: printing, enveloping, and posting.
The Registered Mail + AR (Return Receipt) version adds a layer of proof: a physical form that returns signed by the recipient, proving who received it, when they received it, and where. It is the strongest physical proof for extrajudicial notifications.
If you use Escrybe's Virtual Box service, the physical ARs are digitized and made available directly on your dashboard, without needing to manage paper.

Registered mail with AR offers a robust chain of proof, recognized by the Brazilian legal system:
Postal receipt
Record that the correspondence was posted at Correios, with date and time.
Object code
Tracking number that allows following the letter's journey until delivery.
Signed AR
Physical form that returns signed by the recipient (or whoever received on their behalf), with date, name, and ID.
Virtual Box (optional)
Physical ARs digitized and made available on the Escrybe dashboard, without managing paper.

Place the order on the platform
Upload the PDF of your letter, enter the recipient's information, and choose the modality (Registered or Registered + AR).

Your letter is printed on A4 paper, folded, and inserted into a standard or bag envelope, depending on the number of pages.

Posting at Correios
We take your correspondence to Correios and you receive the tracking code on the dashboard.

Track the status in real time: posted, in transit, out for delivery, delivered.

Receive the AR (if applicable)
In the + AR modality, the signed form returns to Correios and, with Virtual Box, is digitized for you.
Send via Correios without going to the post office. Orders placed by 12pm (business days) are posted the same day.

The actual delivery time for each dispatch must be checked against the destination ZIP code, as it varies by region. Unusual delays (strikes, weather events, Correios internal issues) may occur and are outside Escrybe's control. For time-sensitive dispatches, we recommend allowing for a safety margin.
